Plain-language terms for working with Made by MJ. These complement our Booking Policies and Privacy Policy.

Bookings & retainers

Every quote is one all-inclusive number. A 50% retainer reserves your date; the balance is due on event day for installs, or at pickup/drop-off for Grab & Go. Retainers, rescheduling, and cancellation are governed by our Booking Policies — please read them before you book.

Your responsibilities

You agree to provide accurate event details, secure venue access and adequate setup space, share a day-of contact, and pay the remaining balance on time. Delays or access issues outside our control may affect install scope.

Outdoor & weather

For open-air venues you accept that wind, heat, sun, and rain can affect balloon installations. We build a weather contingency into every outdoor install and advise on placement, but we're not liable for weather-related changes once an install is complete and approved.

Photography & marketing

We may photograph completed installations for our portfolio and social media. Let us know in writing before your event if you'd prefer we don't.

Liability

We style every installation with professional care. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the affected booking. We're not responsible for venue conditions or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

Intellectual property

The Made by MJ name, brand, site design, photography, and content are ours and may not be copied or reused without permission.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Changes

We may update these terms as our studio grows. The current version always lives on this page.
